Branded Application Development for iPads
Agency Problem
How to extend the value of a branded community to the iPad in phased development without becoming an application development house.
AdHack Solution
Through the sales process, AdHack collaborated with our agency partner team to provide app mock ups and expertise for the client proposal.
Then we sourced top iPad app developers, designers, project managers and user experience experts through our talent network. We built a team of the best talent combinations and used the Job and Team Management System to run a collaborative, transparent, brand-focused development process.
We are currently in development, balancing an Agile development methodology with brand goals. We are also creating a supporting content management infrastructure to ensure a seamless publishing workflow between the web and iPad version of the branded community.
For launch we will shepherd the app through the App Store approval process and begin to employ the unique characteristic of the iPad to discover new consumer behaviours. We will use personal message delivery and ongoing content upgrades to collect rich data on usage and drive new insights.
Results
This project is ongoing. In collaboration, we sold the idea to the client. The iPad app launches in beta in December and to a wider public in January, 2011.
