Project Brief
Problem Statement
We are in need of a creative person with graphic design and illustration skills.
Client
Hop Studios is a boutique Web consulting, design and development firm based in Vancouver, BC. We work extensively with the ExpressionEngine CMS, and have developed a series of modules, extensions and plugins for EE.
website: http://hopstudios.com
The full list of software/modules: http://www.hopstudios.com/software/
Product
We are looking for a designer to create graphics on an on-going basis to illustrate the EE modules we develop. The current module we would like illustrated is called Inject and a detailed desciption can be found below.
There are two graphics needed: an icon of 17pixels square, and a banner image of 430 x 165 pixels. Both are for use on our web site and would need to match the style of previous illustrations.
About Inject: The inject plugin for ExpressionEngine "injects" HTML or text (for example, an ad or widget) into a section of dynamic content (such as a blog post or article) when a Web page is rendered. It makes the injection at one or more "points" in the dynamic content, which it discovers using a configured delimiter (one common delimiter is a paragraph tag, "").
Examples of what people using this plugin might do:
* Inject a link to my Amazon book after the third paragraph tag in every blog post.
* Inject HTML for advertisement #1 after the first paragraph tag, and inject HTML for advertisement #2 after the fifth paragraph tag, in every article.
* Inject a cute little icon at the end of every list element in every blog post.
* Inject a css style attribute to every paragraph tag in every article.

Audience
The main audience of the ad are designers and developers using the ExpressionEngine CMS intested in installing our modules within their client sites.
Client Context
The graphic would be part of an on-going series, with new requests made for more as future modules are developed and launched.
Media Context
The audience will encounter the graphic on the Hop Studios web site: http://hopstudios.com

Character
The illustrations created for past modules tend to be metaphorical and quirky with bright colours with a fun style that play graphically with the functionality of the module they accompany. We'd like the new graphics to have the same fun, light tone.
Requirements
The Hop Studios logo — a yellow rubber duck — must be used somehow within the illustration, and the colour palette of the previous module illustrations must be used.
Extensions
The successful candidate would be asked to create illustrations for future modules as they come available.
