Project Brief

Problem Statement

Techvibes needs a small print ad for insertion as a sponsor in local print publication Business in Vancouver (BIV).

Goals

Very simple copy that reflects the fact that Techvibes is ‘new & improved’ or ‘better than ever’. Site elements will be the Blog, Company Directory, Job Board, Events Calendar, and Forum. Keep in mind that the magazine will be relevant for 12 months, so copy can’t be too time sensitive. Last year’s publication is available online as a PDF - http://www.biv.com/publications/pdf/bctech2007-ebook.pdf - on page 82 you will see last years ad. PLEASE NOTE: Last years ad referred to ‘becoming a member’ and ‘join’ – The client would like a different message this year. Read on for more details.

Audience

Business in Vancouver subscribers, members of accredited high tech associations in B.C. and across Canada, including ASTTBC, CATA and the BCTIA.

The ad will appear in Business in Vancouver. Readers and subscribers will find this ad across the bottom of a standard magazine page. Above it will be a Top 25 Tech Companies type list.

Requirements

Resolution: Must be 300 DPI (print quality standard) Dimensions: 7 1/8" wide x 1" tall (2100 pixels wide x 300 pixels tall) Copy: Simple is preferred. Must not be time sensitive copy. Ad must be relevant for 12 months. Last years ad referred to ‘becoming a member’ and ‘join’ – The client would like a different message this year. Colours: Orange, Grey, Black (Techvibe colours)
