Become more you (adaptable for any product or service)
Storyboard concept for a television advert adaptable to any product or service that would have an impact on a person and their outlook on life.
This origional concept was done to advertise a radio station in South Africa, and therefore uses a radio to alter the characters.
The ad idea was almost purchased by the radio station, but due to an exclusive contract with another advertiser, they were unable to procceed with the purchase, therefore it is on offer.
Problem Statement
This advert deals with targeting the problem of reaching a broader audience to promote a product or service that will ultimately cause a positive change in someone's life.
Client
The client is any product or service altering the life of the consumer in a positive way.
Product
For the purpose of this origional concept, a radio was used to advertise a radio station, showing how the music can affect someone's life.
Goals
To show the life changing effect the advertised product/service will have on the consumer
Audience
The audience will be any person who feels stuck in their current life situation, looking for a way to break free.
Client Context
This ad fits in to a larger picture by being showed on television and/or website to reacher a larger audience than just the people that would read a certain magazine.
Media Context
The audience will encounter the ad on television and the first view may seem somewhat prolific and "in your face" and hopefully have a positive effect on people by showing that the life they are unhappy in, can be broken.
Promises
the ad promises a way out, an opportunity to break free from the mundane... a chance to become the you that you dream of becoming.
Proof
The ad delivers the promis, in this case, that whoever listens to the music, will be affected and changed, they will break the mould and find the freedom to be themselves.
Character
there are four main characters aside from the character carrying the radio.
Each character is stuck in a situation or life that they don't want, locked in to be something they are not. Yet hearing the music (experiencing the product), they are able to break free.
