Hell hath no fury like a woman separated from her chocolate.

Problem Statement

This commercial sets out to reaffirm the age old stereotype of 'Women and their love of chocolate', intoducing/emphasizing the $100,000.00 candy bar as the timeless perennial remedy.

Product

100 Grand Candy bar

Goals

The desired outcome of this ad is to reinforce that notwithstanding diamonds, chocolate is woman's best friend. More specifically, that the Nestles 100,000 candy bar is the only answer to women's ultimate obsession.

Audience

This ad is focused on the female age 20-40. It would run well during a 'Desperate Housewives' episode.

Client Context

This ad reflects a slightly elevated target of a specific demographic (the woman of the house). Consider the variations of this title it has the promise of a high volume reach. In popular culture the term housewife, takes on increasingly wider range of age than in years past with women increasingly waiting longer to bear children and the trend for people to adopt children well into their 50's. The average targeted viewer will appreciate the comedic element of the tools the actress selects to seize her valhalla. The fact that she is willing to go out to the garage into the 'mans' domain speaks to her hunger. Her willingness to disrupt the privacy of loved ones speaks to her obsession. Most everyone, women and men alike can relate to a time when they REALLY had to have something. In this case, the 100 Grand bar is the answer to the ultimate obsession.

Promises

This ad promises to express just how important the 100 Grand candy bar can be to a woman, and the lengths to which they are willing to go for it's promise of satisfaction.

Proof

At the end of day, the most important thing to the woman, is her candy bar. She even chooses to leave her best friend (the diamond ring) in the bottom of the bucket in deference to the 100 Grand bar.

Character

The ad is a crescendo. It starts with a fair amount of intensity that gradually builds, resting only for a moment in the embarrassing bathroom scene and then picking up where it left off building to a frenetic pace that climaxes with successful retrieval and palatable ecstasy.

Extensions

This ad is a great stand alone ad as it tells a complete story not dependent on any other explanation. It would however work nicely as part of a campaign centering around 'Women and their passion for Chocolate". I produced a second spot using the same actress that expresses nicely how a campaign with this content would work.
